Chef Jeralyn has had a love for baking since the early age of 5, when she won Grand Champion Cookie at Middle Park Fair and Rodeo. She still uses her famous Peanut Butter Cookie recipe today. A lot of time has passed since then and her experience has gone from home cooking to being classically trained as a pastry chef at The French Culinary Institute in New York City, NY.
This training supplied her with an incredible array of pastry skills including; tarts, cookies, pâté à choux, puff pastry, breads, petit fours, cakes of all varieties, plated and frozen desserts. Chef Jeralyn's training under Ron Ben Israel, Jacques Torres and many other acclaimed chefs have taught her to create edible flowers and sculptures using sugar paste and chocolate. Chef Jeralyn graduated with distinction and outstanding attendance.
Jeralyn worked as the Head Baker at Blue Water Bakery and Assistant Pastry Chef at C Lazy U Ranch. Her time working at these two distinct businesses challenged her to grow in her pastry knowledge and high altitude baking.
